The important new function of the version 1.20 of "Diet Assessment and Food Composition" is the realization of the interface with Health App. The version 1.20 App can read birth date, gender, height, weight data from Health App, at the same time, the version 1.20 App will send the nutrient element data that from intake food to Health data, like dietary calorie, protein, fat, vitamin etc., more than 30 nutrient elements data. All of the data from "Diet Assessment and Food Composition " to Health is calculated by Authorities data. After a long testing and validation, we assure the calculated nutrition data is accurate and true.
There are 8618 American foods detail data from USDA and 2263 Chinese foods detail data from China CDC inside “Diet Assessment and Food composition” App. The other data that being used in this App like Dietary Reference Intakes data, Reference Lengths and Weights for Boys and Girls(infants, children, adult) etc. all from USDA. This App include Food Query, Nutrient Query, BMI Calculator, DRI Query, Diet Assessment, Basic Knowledge etc. functions. With these authoritative data and function modules, this App will be a scientific assistant of your healthy life.
Food Query: if you want to query the detail composition of any one food regardless of American food or Chinese food, you only need input some of letters about food name or food ID, The App will show a list of all detail composition of this kind of food, the composition include energy, protein, fat, fiber, carbohydrate, vitamin, elements etc.
Nutrient Query: There are almost 150 kinds of nutrients defined from USDA. Different foods have different nutrients. In this module, you can select any nutrient to search in the scope of all kinds of food or specified kind of food, the result will show a list of food name and this nutrient content value in accordance with the order from highest to lowest, with the help of this list, you can decide which food is available for you to supply this kind of nutrient.
BMI Calculator: Body Mass Index(BMI) is used to measure of body fat based on height and weight, this calculator applies to infants, children, adult. BMI can be used to identify if you are overweight, obese, underweight or normal. But infant, child, adult healthy BMI score is different. You will get the ideal weight and ideal height for infant and child at different stage via this calculator.
DRI Query: Dietary Reference intakes(DRI) are nutrient reference values developed by the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies. They are intended to serve as a guide for good nutrition for people. DRI is the general term for a set of reference values used to plan and assess nutrient intakes of healthy people. These values, which vary by age and gender, include: RNI(Recommended Nutrient Intake), EAR(Estimated Average Requirement), UL(Tolerable Upper Intake Level). In this module, you can query the DRI detail data of men and women of all ages.
Diet Assessment: this module helps you to assess whether one day diet is balanced nutrient or not. If you want to shape your body to a standard weight or lose weight or add weight, also you can control one day diet with the help of this function module. When you use this module, you need input your information, like height, weight, age, gender at first, the App will get the DRI data values according to your personal information. the second step, you need select the food type and food weight for your diet, the third step, this module will calculate the accurate nutrient data of foods and display in graphic. In graphic, you will quickly find which nutrient is lack or enough or over for you. At the same time, app can display detail DRI data that you already intake in a spreadsheet.
Basic Knowledge: this module tells you some basic knowledge of nutrition, like the function of the nutrient elements.
